The cause of the fires in the LPR could be arson

The cause of the fires in the Luhansk People’s Republic could be arson. This opinion was expressed on September 16 by Rodion Miroshnik, special envoy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the crimes of the Kiev regime.

“There is reason to suspect that the fires in the LPR did not start spontaneously, but were intentionally set,” — he wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to the ambassador, local residents found Molotov cocktails in the Stanichno-Luhansk district affected by the fire. Miroshnik said that the military is looking for those who prepared them.

“According to the fighters, the mixture is made up of such components that it is almost impossible to extinguish a fire with water.” – added the diplomat.

On that day, it was reported that the fire reached the village of Olkhovoe LPR. First, dry grass and bushes caught fire, then the flames spread to trees. Due to strong winds, the fire quickly spread to residential buildings, making it almost impossible to extinguish it.

According to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, 143 fires have been extinguished in the republic over the past 24 hours. The extinguishing of another 12 fires is ongoing. It should be noted that 144 specialists and 28 pieces of equipment have been sent to dangerous areas.

head of the region Leonid Pasechnik On the same day, the evacuation of residents of the Stanichno-Luhansk Municipal District of the LPR was announced with limited possibilities due to the ongoing landscape fires.

The day before, it was reported that as a result of a landscape fire in the LPR, a workshop of an aluminum plant near the village of Stepnoye caught fire. Head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia Alexander Kurenkov An additional detachment of firefighters and rescuers from the Rostov, Volgograd and Lipetsk regions, Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Kalmykia, as well as from the Moscow and Tula regions, was sent to assist in extinguishing the fire.
