The Accounts Chamber submitted a request to the Prosecutor General’s Office in relation to the Department of Affairs of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (ANAS).
Oku.Az informs that the next meeting of the board of directors was held under the leadership of the president of the institution, Vugar Gulmammadov.
At the meeting, “Auditor’s report on the results of the audit of the management of state funds and other state assets by the Azerbaijan State University of Economics”, “Auditor’s report on the results of the audit of compliance with the use and management of state funds” funds and assets of the Space Agency with legal acts”, “The report of the Ministry of Science and Education and the Auditor on the results of the audit of state investments allocated from the state budget was discussed to the Subordinate Department of Construction and Supplies. As a result of the discussions, decisions were made on the approval of the audit reports and the necessary actions to be taken to eliminate the deficiencies detected by the audited institutions were accepted.
Subsequently, the results of the “audit of the management of state funds and other state assets carried out by the Department of Affairs of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan” were discussed. Based on the results of the discussions, it was decided to send the relevant material to the Prosecutor General’s Office, taking into account possible signs of criminality in the detected violations in the use of state funds and property in 2020-2021.
At the meeting, the program for the initiation of control measures was also discussed and approved.
It should be noted that Ramiz Mehdiyev was president of ANAS during the mentioned period. He held this position in 2019-2022.
