Quesos La Mueda has done it again. This family cheese factory from Santa Cruz de la Zarza (Toledo) has triumphed, once again, in an important international competition, something to which we get used, despite its short life. On this occasion he did so in the World cheese prices from Portugalwhere they placed two of their samples among more than 4,700 participating cheeses, with bronze medals.
The history of this cheese factory dates back to 1950, when Mr. Pablo García Molina founded cattle breeding in this small municipality of Mesa de Ocaña. who was the soul of their family tradition. Three generations later, just five years ago, they began making artisanal cheeses, with the milk of their own sheep, fed on pastures and local lands which offer unrivaled quality to our products.
Mario García-Alonso now leads the project with effort and passionwhich places Quesos La Mueda at the top of the international podiums. “Today we are proud to announce that our passion and efforts have been recognized once again, at the World Cheese Awards in Portugal, among more than 4,700 cheeses, where we received two bronze medals,” declares the alma mater of this cheese factory.
The award-winning cheeses, in particular, are their semi-ripened sheep cheesesa, highlighted by its creamy texture and its characteristic flavor, the result of the care taken at each stage of its preparation and, on the other hand, its qmature cheese with rosemaryawarded for its unique balance between the intensity of mature cheese and the aromatic touch of rosemary, a combination that reflects innovation and tradition.
“These awards consolidate our commitment to excellence and innovation in the cheese sector, offering products that delight the palate,” concludes Mario García-Alonso.
