The Ciudad Real bullfighting school will begin operations in mid-October

THE Ciudad Real Provincial Council will allocate 100,000 euros to the launch of the bullfighting school in the provincial capital, created in 2004 and paralyzed since 2011, in which around 25 young people from the province will be trained as bullfighters and bullfighters.

The training will include bullfighting techniques in class, handling the cape and muleta, as well as physical and psychological preparation to face the different phases of their bullfighting training. The values ​​that bullfighting instills, according to the new director of the school, will also play a fundamental role in the learning of these young people.

The opening of the school will take place next Thursday, October 10, in the Plaza de Toros de Ciudad Real.with the presence of teachers who will teach young people, students, families, authorities and personalities from the world of bullfighting.

The president of the Provincial Delegation of Ciudad Real assured that, from the institution, “as long as there are supporters, we will support bullfighting”, recalling that other municipalities, such as those of Albacete or Toledo, also maintain their economy. and institutional support for their respective bullfighting schools.

“It is the responsibility of the administrations to defend our heritage and our identity,” commented Valverde, who also argued that the institution he chairs was looking for “formulas” to support the province’s bullfighters.

“We would like to collaborate by helping to hire bullfighters and bullfighters from our province for the celebrations organized in the territory,” he added.

For her part, the fifth vice-president reaffirmed the commitment of the Provincial Government team, made up of the People’s Party and Vox, to “defend and promote the values ​​that constitute our bullfighting tradition.”

Finally, the advisor for celebrations and popular traditions of the City Hall of Ciudad Realon which the management of the capital’s bullring depends, showed its full support for this initiative, hoping that important personalities from the world of bullfighting could emerge from this school in the future.
