The civil defense forces of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs intervene in the flooded areas of Hajigabul

Heavy rains that started on the morning of October 12 caused flooding in Hajigabul district. The floods filled the patios of the houses located in the center of the district. Residents who have abandoned their homes report that they have suffered significant damage.

Hajigabul resident Namig Huseynov said he was sleeping on the couch when the flood hit: “I saw the water hitting my feet. The house was under water. I don’t know where to stay.”

Jamaleddin Rustamov, another resident, claims that the floods come from the mountains: “This type of natural disaster occurred in 2009.”

Civil defense troops of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) have been immediately deployed to the affected areas of Hajigabul to take necessary and urgent measures.

Oku.Az informs that this was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Currently, the Ministry’s forces are carrying out the evacuation of water from the flood-affected areas, the evacuation of some defenseless citizens and other necessary security measures.

More than 300 houses were underwater as a result of the rains in the Hajigabul region.

Saleh Alasgarov, chairman of the Emergency Commission of the Hajigabul district, reported this to the Aran “Informe” office.

According to him, the rains caused several complications in the region.

The villages of Kyzilburun, Atbulag, Gubali-Baloglan, Pisaat and Navahi, including the district center, were severely damaged.

Power was cut in the center of Hajigabul.

Currently, the technical and human staff of the Mugan Regional Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have been involved on the spot to eliminate the consequences of the natural disaster. Necessary measures are being taken to remove water from the shipyards.

Incessant rains in the Hajigabul region caused complications.

The APA reports that nearly 200 homes were flooded as a result.

The railway line that runs through the region was damaged. There is currently a pause in train circulation.
