The Civil Guard rescued a family who was seen surprised by the flood of the Ratxó torrent, in Majorca. As the Armed Institute reports in a press release, the event took place this Friday around 1:45 p.m., when the Operational Center of the Civil Guard Services received a call informing it that a family, made up of three adult women and one minor, was surprised by the overflow of the torrent while they were in the Galatzó reserve and they were forced to take shelter in a nearby hotel complex which was closed.
Immediately, several Civil Guard patrols were mobilized from the main post of Calvià. Already on site, the agents located the family, who was very scared and with signs of hypothermia and they evacuated them. The group was transferred to Puigpunyent. So far, officers have had to respond to various minor incidents.
On the other hand, the emergency services had to intervene two people in Son Reus after a torrent overflows due to the rain that fell in recent hours. They are two elderly people who live in an area near a stream. Due to the overflow, the Ma-11 road towards Sóller was cut near Son Reus.
