The closure of the Republican Clinical Hospital for repairs some time ago complicated things for patients.
Thus, 6 departments related to repair work were moved to the modular hospital located in Bilgah, and patients have to go to Bilgah for a doctor’s appointment. This leads to time losses and additional financial costs.
Considering that the Republican Clinical Hospital is located 25 to 30 kilometers from Bilgah, citizens traveling between hospitals have to spend, at best, 3 to 4 hours on the road. Furthermore, the fact that buses do not go directly to Bilgah Modul hospital also creates additional tension.
“We found the hospital with difficulty in two or three hours. I arrived in my own car. Getting here by taxi costs between 20 and 25 manats,” the patient complained.
Sahib Huseynov, chief physician of the Republican Clinical Hospital, told Baku TV that the necessary conditions have been created for the reception, examination and treatment of patients in Bilgah. Patients have to go to other healthcare facilities just to get a CT scan and MRI.
The chief doctor also noted that the management of the Territorial Medical Unit Management Union (TABIB) has taken control of the problem and appropriate measures will be taken soon to solve it.
