The Commission removes 200 tourist residences in Seville from its register for non-compliance with urban planning

The Andalusian government has already written off 200 accommodations for tourist use of its registration for various town planning offences. They are part of the 715 cancellation requests made by Seville City Hall last July.

This is what the town planning advisor revealed, Juan de la Rosaat the control and monitoring plenary of Seville City Hall. As noted, others’ withdrawals are being “processed”, which involves “a safeguards process” with an offer of “hearing” for those affected.

This is the response of the popular councilor to that of the socialist Francisco Páez. He regretted that at the beginning of November, “the vast majority” of these 715 housing units were still registered in the register.

At the same time, he also criticized the city council for not existing “immediacy” in the application of 10 percent limitations in saturated neighborhoods for this type of accommodation. Indeed, he assured that it could take between “six months and a year” until the registration of this register is canceled.

In this regard, De la Rosa indicated that the procedure of “stop” includes a “hearing procedure” and a “guarantee” process. However, he assured that “all those registered in saturated zones will be deregistered” as of the limitation.

35 new tourist apartments in the center and Triana

De la Rosa said that until last Thursday, they had registered 35 new houses in the Historic Center and in Triana, which were “ex officio submitted to the Council” to begin their removal.

You can’t expect immediacybecause there is a rule of law and guarantees. The General Directorate of Tourism of the Junta de Andalucía is working on all this,” insisted De la Rosa.

In addition, the urban planning consultant detailed a series of actions related to the subject, such as the incorporation of new members of the tourist policeassigned to the Urban Planning Department. “They already have their headquarters there,” he said.

Likewise, as indicated, “continuous meetings are organized with the General Directorate of Tourism of the Junta de Andalucía so that everything that comes into the register contains management’s information and they know which ones are in saturated areas.
