The judicial investigation of Ramish Jafarov and his father Zakram Jafarov, one of the TIR drivers who blocked the road in Baku in protest against the State Automobile Transport Service (DANX), as well as the director of the transport company to which TIR belongs, has been completed.
According to Qafqazinfo, the prosecutor made a speech indicting him at a hearing held at the Baku Serious Crimes Court.
The prosecutor asked for 8 years in prison for Ramish Jafarov and 6 years for his father Zakram Jafarov. It was noted that Z. Jafarov should be detained in the courtroom.
It should be noted that drivers of the company “R Group Azerbaijan” blocked the road on Heydar Aliyev Avenue, causing an artificial traffic jam for hours. They claimed that DANX did not issue the appropriate permits.
Ramish Jafarov, director of the R Group Azerbaijan company, which is engaged in freight transport services, is accused of seizing a cargo worth $37,000 belonging to Belarusian citizen Yuriy Gnoyanik. In addition, it was revealed that he caused financial damage to four businessmen by transporting goods worth $68,000. His father was later held criminally liable.
