The composition of the US delegation that will participate in the COP29 summit to be held in Azerbaijan from November 11 to 22 has been announced.

It was noted that the delegation, which includes senior officials from more than 20 departments, agencies and organizations, will be led by John Podesta, the senior advisor to the US president on international climate policy. Thus, officials will visit Baku to highlight the United States’ leadership position in the fight against the climate crisis and work to achieve its strong results.
According to the information, the delegation includes Secretary of Agriculture Thomas Vilsack, Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm, Assistant to the President and White House National Climate Advisor Ali Zaidi, Chair of the White House Council on Environmental Quality , Brenda Mallory, Undersecretary of Energy David Turk, Acting Undersecretary of the Interior Laura Daniel Davis, Undersecretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Bonnie Jenkins, and others.
Additionally, as part of the delegation, a large number of other US officials working on climate change, armed conflict, finance, food security, gender, global health, trade and investment, and youth will also visit Baku.
