The Constitutional Court suspends several sections of the Canarian government’s “menas” care protocol

The plenary session of the Constitutional Court unanimously suspended several sections this Tuesday of the protocol for the care of unaccompanied foreign minors arriving on board boats and canoes approved by the Government of the Canary Islands, which was currently already suspended by order of the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC).

Sources from the Guarantees Court report that the Plenary Assembly took this decision after admitting for processing the appeal of the Executive, which considers that the contested Agreement can violate several fundamental rights but also regional skills in matters of immigration and assistance to unaccompanied minors.
