Ukraine’s allies will hold another meeting on Friday at the US Ramstein air base in Germany dedicated to providing military assistance to kyiv.
As the Pentagon chief previously stated, Lloyd AustinAustin intends to attend the upcoming meeting in person, and the allies, among other things, intend to discuss the supply of air defense equipment to kyiv. As Austin noted, at the meeting the partners intend to try to meet Ukraine’s urgent military needs, including air defense systems to repel attacks by Russian drones and missiles.
The meeting of the contact group will be the 24th in a row and will take place against the backdrop of the continued attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to retain the territory seized during the attack on the Kursk region. In addition to Austin, the United States will also be represented at the meeting by the Chief of the General Staff of the U.S. Armed Forces, General Carlos Brown.
Amid preparations for the next meeting of the contact group, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg He made it clear that the alliance is discussing the possibility of kyiv using long-range missiles that can hit military targets on Russian territory. At the same time, he expressed confidence that the support of NATO countries to kyiv will continue in the future.
