The Costa Blanca will strengthen the connectivity, sustainability and digitalization of the destination in 2025

The president of Deputation from Alicante, Toni Pérezchaired this Monday the ordinary meeting of the Board of Directors of the Provincial Tourism Office, where he reported on the results of the Action Plan of the Costa Blanca 2024, while advancing some of the strategic lines of the autonomous organization for next year, focused on connectivity, sustainability and digitalization of the destination.

The provincial official indicated that this year was “particularly favorable to the tourism sector of our province, with figures saveand our roadmap for next year is to continue to increase the arrival of visitors with the aim of offering them unique experiences, according to their requirements.

“At the Costa Blanca Board we adapt our resources according to the requirements of the sector and also thinking about the needs of different types of sightseeing who choose us every year”, said Toni Pérez, who insisted that our priority is “to engage in diversification, sustainabilitydigitalization, quality and variety of services and finding the balance between small inland communities and large coastal cities.

Among the specific blocks that were detailed during the meeting, which was also attended by the director of the tourist entity, José Mancebohighlights, with regard to the actions carried out during this year, the 268 marketing actions focused on multi-products, interior and nature, sports, congress, idiomatic or industrial tourism, cinema, gastronomy, traditions, health and well-being or proposals for the LGTBIQ+ group, among others.

Furthermore, the 375 help granted, coming from various promotional lines, both direct and to municipalities or non-profit entities, for an amount close to 2.5 million euros.

All political groups congratulated the technicians and professionals of the Costa Blanca Directorate for the work carried out this year to promote tourism in the province.

Connectivity was another of the areas that were put on the table during the session to reflect the figures recorded in the airport Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández, who, just weeks after achieving a record year, has accumulated more than 15.9 million of passengersor port from Alicante, which hopes to end 2024 with the arrival of approximately one hundred of cruises And 230,000 travelers.

The province also has one of its most profitable means of transportation: the railway. In 2023 alone, a total of three million travelers took the Madrid-Alicante corridor, thanks to new operators such as Ouigo, Avlo And Iryowhich complete the broadband offer of Renfe.

Traditions

The Provincial Tourism Office will launch a new advertising campaign entitled “Your desire to Christmas‘ with the aim of positioning the Costa Blanca as a unique destination at present.

The guideline of this promotional proposal is to highlight the Alicante traditionsa province that during this celebration becomes the national epicenter of Christmas, thanks to some of its most representative products such as grapesTHE toys or the nougat.

The scope of action of this initiative will be regional, national and international to attract visitors to the province and discover this celebration so rooted and unique in the province, in addition to promoting the acquisition of indigenous, recognized and high quality Christmas products.

Madrid Fair

The first actions that the autonomous body of the Provincial Deputation of Alicante will carry out during the next edition of the International Tourism Fair 2025 have also been described –Fitur– which will be held at Madrid from January 22 to 26 with a professional part and another open to the public.

As usual, the Costa Blanca stand will be integrated into the space intended for the Valencian Community, located in pavilion 7 of Ifema. Professional meetings, presentations, online and offline information points, weekend promotional spaces, Fitur LGTBIQ+, Fitur Cine and Fitur Sports will take center stage in the promotional offer of the 141 municipalities of the province, which will be supplemented by various culinary shows.
