The Court of Cassation rejected, on Tuesday, October 15, the “restoration of honor” of Jacques Fesch, a prisoner guillotined in 1957 for the murder of a police officer three years earlier. The highest court ruled that “The analyzed elements taken as a whole do not constitute sufficient guarantees of modification”.
On June 6, the Court of Cassation examined the case of Jacques Fesch. In 2018, his son filed a request for judicial rehabilitation, which was rejected. In 2023, he filed an application with the criminal chamber of the Court of Cassation to restore his father’s honor based on his father’s repentance and the spiritual path he took.
