A wave of false reports about school mining in the Czech Republic and Slovakia is linked to the activity of Russian cybercriminals. This was stated by the head of the Czech Security and Information Service (BIS), Michal Koudelka.
“The Russian trail is clearly visible in emails threatening to bomb schools in the Czech Republic and Slovakia,” – said.
In his opinion, such actions could be related to the activities of Russian intelligence or its agents.
“Several serious threats arise from it, including various cyberattacks, as well as wiretapping and even the liquidation of unwanted people outside Russia.” – said Koudelka.
Let us remember that this year Slovak and Czech schools experienced two large waves of anonymous emails reporting about bombs placed in schools. The first time this happened in early May, the second in September. To this day, isolated reports of mining in schools continue to arrive. In particular, on November 18, schools in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia, were evacuated because of them.
