The Czech Republic and Italy are a corridor for the supply of ammunition from India to Ukraine, Reuters reports this with reference to European and Indian officials.
According to the agency, Indian rules on arms exports restrict their use and unauthorized transfers, but shipments have been taking place for at least a year. It is reported that since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, India is responsible for only about 1% of the total volume of projectiles received by kyiv from abroad. The Czech Ministry of Defense decided not to comment on the information received “for security reasons.”
Let us recall that the Czech Republic condemns Russia’s actions in Ukraine. Prague strongly supports kyiv and in February 2024 began purchasing ammunition for the Ukrainian army from outside the EU.
