The pre-election campaign period for the early elections to the Milli Majlis, scheduled for 1 September, has ended.
Oku.Az reports that the end of the unofficially mentioned period is also called “day of silence”.
Thus, according to the Electoral Code, the pre-election campaign of registered candidates, their authorized representatives and proxies, political parties whose candidates have been registered, political party blocs, their authorized representatives and proxies must begin 23 days before the voting day and 24 days before the start of voting time must be stopped.
The pre-election campaign for the early parliamentary elections started on 9 August 2024 and this process is expected to end on 31 August at 8:00 a.m.
It should be noted that polling stations will open at 8 a.m. and voting will continue until 7 p.m. 990 candidates will fight for 125 deputy mandates in the parliamentary elections.
