The death toll from flooding in Spain has reached 211 and dozens of people are still missing.
Oku.Az “Reuters” reported about this.
According to Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, the government will send 5,000 more soldiers to help in the search and cleanup tasks, in addition to the 2,500 deployed in the disaster area.
“This is the largest operation carried out by the Spanish Armed Forces in peacetime. The Government will mobilize all resources for as long as necessary,” said Sánchez.
It should be noted that this natural disaster in Spain is considered the largest disaster in Europe after the floods in Portugal in 1967, which killed at least 500 people.
