Sancho’s legal team had until November 29 to present his appeal to the provincial court in Samui – a city in southern Thailand -, where he was convicted and his defense has already requested – up to three times – the extension of the appeal deadline which the judge set at one month after reading the judgment.
“The legal team continues to work on the appeal”declared to EFE Ramón Chippirrás, one of the criminologists. It is worth remembering that he, along with Carmen Balfagón and the criminal lawyer Marcos García-Montes, They advise Daniel Sancho from Spain.
Chippirrás indicated that the appeal is being prepared by its legal defense in Thailand with the support of the Spanish team, and that the new requested extension gives a new deadline, until December 29. “We hope to be able to have the resource available by the end of this new extension, on December 29, without excluding that we will have to request a new one”added the Spanish criminologist.
This latest decision represents a 180 degree ignitionsince this comes just days after Daniel Sancho found out if there was some sort of judicial miracle. Throughout these months, his lawyers have focused on presenting an appeal to help the Spanish leader.
