Michel Barnier promises to protect “any tax increase” those “those who work, those who produce”and evokes a contribution “exceptional and temporary” of “those who can contribute” to the effort to restore public finances, on Friday in an interview with Saône-et-Loire Diary.

Barnier will deliver his general policy statement to the National Assembly on Tuesday and his government will present its draft 2025 budget the following week. “The situation in France is very serious on a budgetary and financial level. “My responsibility as Prime Minister, and that of the government, is to confront and take action, not against this or that category, but ensuring that we are fair.”insists in this interview.
