The district with the highest voter turnout in the country is in Khankendi

“The constituency with the highest voter turnout in the country is Khankendi Constituency No. 122.”

This was announced by the head of the Information Center of the Secretariat of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Farid Orujov, at a press conference held at the Electoral Information Center of the CEC.

He said that according to the results up to 12:00 noon, the voter turnout in that constituency was 32.6 percent (2,182 people).

Voter turnout in Mingachevir constituency No. 54 was reported to be low. Only 7.5 percent of voters (3,768 people) cast their ballots in this constituency.

It should be noted that the extraordinary parliamentary elections are being held in 6,478 polling stations in 125 constituencies across the country. 54 of them were held in territories free of occupation.

Polling stations opened at 08:00. Voting will continue until 19:00. 990 candidates are competing for 125 deputy seats in the parliamentary elections. The total number of voters in Azerbaijan is 6,421,960.
