Students from the University of Salamanca (USAL) also support those affected by DANA.
So much so that the Council of Student Delegations of the academic institution, coordinator of student representatives, will begin this Monday a solidarity campaign to collect food and materials, in order to support those affected by the recent floods that hit the ‘East. Spain.
Thus, the initiative, promoted by student representatives of the 27 delegations from the different Faculties, will take place from Monday to Wednesday at the collection points established on the different university campuses.
The campaign will take place Monday and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., while on Wednesday donations will only be collected until 1:00 p.m.
CONDELE calls for solidarity from students and the rest of the university community, which also includes teaching and administrative staff and anyone wishing to collaborate.
The authorized points for collecting donations are the Faculties of Fine Arts, Education in the Student Delegation office, Sciences, Law and Medicine in their respective rooms of the building; Philology in the cloister of the Anaya patio; the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences.
There, interested people can bring water in any format, hygiene products, mainly baby wipes, diapers, sanitary napkins, gel, shampoo, brushes and toothpaste; preferably canned, non-perishable foods that can be eaten without cooking or heating; and cleaning supplies such as bleach, brooms, buckets, shovels and window cleaner.
For its part, the transportation of all collected materials will be carried out by Autoescuelas El Pilar, since the company has made its trucks and logistical resources available to this initiative in an altruistic way.
Likewise, it should be noted that CONDELE maintains a constant dialogue with the governing bodies of the University, with the aim of organizing a solidarity gala in support of those affected by the floods in eastern Spain. This gala, planned for the coming weeks, will raise funds to cover urgent needs in the affected areas.
Different actions with which the student representatives of the University of Salamanca hope that the gesture of solidarity will help alleviate the emergency situation faced by those affected, and in particular all those who are students.
