The enemy loses more than 350 people every day on the Kursk direction – Ministry of Defense

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has published official information on military operations in the Kursk region.

On Monday, September 2, the Defense Department Press Service published a special military report on this topic.

It is reported that units of the Northern Group of Troops, with the support of military aviation and artillery fire, have repelled six attacks by enemy assault groups in the direction of the settlements of Borki, Komarovka, Korenevo and Cherkasy Porechnoye over the past 24 hours.

Three attempts by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to attack the settlements of Olgovka and Kremyanoye were also thwarted. Enemy losses amounted to 40 people killed and wounded, one infantry fighting vehicle, two armoured combat vehicles and one car were destroyed.

It is reported that reconnaissance and search operations are being actively carried out in forest areas to destroy enemy sabotage groups.

“Air strikes, artillery fire and troop actions destroyed concentrations of manpower and equipment of the 22nd and 61st mechanized brigades, the 82nd and 95th air assault brigades, the 152nd Jaeger brigades, the 1st National Guard brigade and the 1004th security brigade in the areas of the settlements of Apanasovka, Borki, Vishnevka, Gordeevka, Lyubimovka, Lebedevka, Martynovka, Mikhailovka, Malaya Loknya, 10th of October, Orlovka, Plekhovo, Cherkasskoye Porechnoye, Russkoye Porechnoye, Snagost and Yuzhny.” – the report says.

In addition, operational tactical aviation carried out strikes in the Sumy region in areas where enemy reserve personnel and military equipment were concentrated.

We are talking about the formations of the 22nd, 41st and 54th mechanized brigades, 17th tank brigade, 82nd air assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 1st National Guard Brigade, 36th Marine Brigade, as well as the 101st, 103rd, 119th and 129th Ground Defense Brigades.

Their reserves were affected in the areas of the settlements of Belopole, Basy, Velikaya Pisarevka, Glukhov, Luka, Katerynivka, Orlovka, Svessa, Chervonoprapornoye, Sumy, Khoten, Esman, Yunakovka and Yastrebinoe.

According to the Ministry of Defense, during the day the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to more than 350 servicemen and 14 armored vehicles, including one infantry fighting vehicle, one armored personnel carrier and 12 armored combat vehicles, as well as three artillery pieces, three US-made HIMARS MLRS launchers, one mortar, two Buk-M1 air defense missile system launchers, a mobile control station of the Buk-M1 air defense missile system, a HIMARS MLRS transport-loading vehicle, a Buk-M1 air defense system transport vehicle, a US AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery warfare radar and 12 vehicles.

In total, during the fighting in the Kursk direction, the enemy lost more than 8,900 servicemen, 80 tanks, 38 infantry fighting vehicles, 70 armored personnel carriers, 549 armored combat vehicles, 261 vehicles, 65 artillery pieces and 19 multiple launch rocket systems, including 6 HIMARS MLRS and two MLRS, 7 launchers of anti-aircraft missile systems, two transport-loading vehicles, 14 electronic warfare stations, 7 counter-battery radars, air defense radars, 6 units of engineering equipment, including two engineering cleaning vehicles and one -77 missile cleaning facility.
