The Market was inaugurated on July 4, 1948, but the first traders did not set up until 1949. The stalls are located in the 50×50 meter patio, under a ribbed dome with a span of 25 meters. In the center of the market there is a clock and a fountain, where fish, fruit and vegetables were once cleaned. It is the largest in Pamplona and receives daily an average of 4,000 visitors.
