It is reported that the reason for the lawyer’s summons was, as Estonian authorities claim, the removal of border buoys (buoy – ed.) by Russia in May this year.
“Based on decades of experience, both sides have agreed on the current course (direction – ed.) of the street and, consequently, the location of the temporary control line between Estonia and Russia. In addition, it is clear to all ships in the Narva River made it possible to create safe movement zones,” says the statement from the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Tallinn claims Moscow refused to measure the river bottom to specify the runway. The authors noted that countries appear to have different interpretations of the direction of the runway that forms the basis of the Line of Control between Estonia and Russia.
