The EU and NATO have agreed to create a new high-level working group, especially against threats from authoritarian states.

These authoritarian states are seen to challenge common democratic interests, values and principles.
“To address these evolving threats and challenges, President von der Leyen and Secretary General Rütte agreed today to establish a new high-level working group to strengthen existing cooperation between the EU and NATO,” the statement said.
The document notes that the first meeting of the working group is expected to be scheduled in the coming weeks.
