The EU responded to calls to end dialogue with Israel

European Foreign Ministers did not support the proposal of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, to suspend political dialogue with Israel amid the situation in Gaza.

This was reported by dpa.

The publication writes that at a meeting in Brussels some countries spoke out against this initiative. Since such a decision requires consensus, it will not be implemented in the near future.

Agency sources report that representatives of Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary and the Netherlands opposed Borrell’s initiative. At the same time, German Foreign Minister Annalena Bärbock announced her readiness to take action against Israeli officials who question the Palestinians’ right to exist or violate international norms.

Recall that Kursor wrote that, according to published data, Hamas has been coordinating its actions with Iran for two years in preparing a strategic operation against Israel. Hezbollah also participated in this process. To achieve its goals, Hamas received monthly funding of $7 million throughout the year.

Documents seized by the Israeli military in Gaza confirmed Iran’s years of financial support for Hamas. Israeli forces have repeatedly intercepted supporting documents and transfer records of tens of millions of dollars over the past two decades. Furthermore, interrogations of Hamas terrorists detained during the current military operation allowed Shin Bet officials to obtain additional information about the mechanisms of this support.

Cursor also reported that after it was reported that Lebanon had agreed to a ceasefire with Israel, more details about the agreement have now been released. Among the points, there is one condition that is particularly problematic for Israel. It’s just that Israel is not guaranteed the ability to return to Lebanon to fight if necessary.

Earlier today, Reuters news agency reported that Ali Hassan Khalil, aide to Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, said Lebanon and the terrorist organization Hezbollah had agreed to a ceasefire with Israel subject to certain conditions. New details of the deal are now being released.
