The global division of the European Investment Bank (EIB Global) has signed a loan agreement with Armenia for an amount of more than 300 million euros.
Oku.Az TASS reports that the Ministry of Economy of Armenia published information in this regard.
“EIB Global” signed a 236 million euro loan agreement with Armenia to jointly finance the construction of the highway, which is part of the North-South transport corridor.
At the same time, the European Union will provide a €10 million grant to Armenia, which will complement a €25 million EIB loan aimed at improving energy efficiency and renovating a clinic and daycare in Yerevan.
It should be noted that, in addition, the EIB will grant a loan of 58.5 million euros to three Armenian banks to expand loans to micro, small and medium-sized businesses in the country.
