The majority of the European Parliament adopted another resolution on Georgia. MEPs called for new elections to the Georgian parliament, as well as the introduction of sanctions against representatives of the country’s leaders.
The resolution was supported by 444 members of the European Parliament, 72 were against and another 82 abstained.
The European Parliament believes that the voting process should be carried out in an improved electoral environment, under close international supervision.
