The Polish farmers, especially aviation representatives, opposed the latest commercial agreements between the European Union and Ukraine. In their opinion, the agreement ignores the requirements of European farmers and allows you to import products without adequate control standards.

In recent days, Polish farmers have expressed their concern and criticism of the new trade agreements that concluded between the European Union and Ukraine. President of the Sub -Agriculture Chamber Stanislav Bartman Advertise:

“We, as representatives of nutrition, do not agree to import products even within the specified limits!”

Such a difficult situation is in response to changes in the trade agreement on agriculture between the European Union and Ukraine. We are talking about updating the conditions for cooperation within the framework of DCFTA – a deep, deep and comprehensive trade zone, aimed at accelerating the integration of the Ukrainian market with the European Union market. The new provisions stipulate partial liberation to reach certain types of agricultural products from Ukraine to the European Union, which caused violent feelings and protests between Polish food producers.

On the previous day, the decision to end negotiations was commented by the Minister of Agriculture in Poland The secret of Cheslav. He indicated in his statement:

“The European Commission has not been consulted through this decision with member states, nor with farmers representatives. We are disappointed with how to transfer information about the agreement that occurred before the end of the Polish presidency in the European Union Council.”

According to the minister, the lack of consultations and transparency are great defects in the negotiation process.

Polish farmers fear that the decision to increase the import of products from Ukraine without clear criteria can negatively affect the local market and endanger food safety. The farmer Bartman describes the situation as a “evil game” and indicates the disregard for farmers’ protests, which require a real dialogue and accountability for their interests.
