Passengers and staff have been evacuated at the Staraya Toropa railway station in the Tver region, the press service of the Oktyabrskaya Railway reports.
“Today, September 21, at 02:42, in connection with an incident in the area of the Staraya Toropa railway station in the Tver region, the evacuation of passengers and station staff was carried out. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties and no damage to infrastructure.” – the statement says.
It should be noted that passenger train No. 63 on the Moscow-Pskov route was sent by an alternative route. Currently, the train arrives at its destination with a delay of about 2 hours.
Passenger train No. 87 on the St. Petersburg-Smolensk route was also stopped en route. The delay is about an hour.
Suburban trains numbers 6801 and 6802 on the Rzhev-Rusanovo route follow a shortened route to Zapadnaya Dvina station and back, the message clarifies.
“Railway workers are taking all necessary measures to reduce train delays.” – highlights the Oktyabrskaya Railway.
