American historian and political scientist Allan Lichtman, who correctly predicted nine of the last ten US presidential elections, believes that Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris will win in November.
Oku.Az reports that he said this on the air of “Fox News.”
The political scientist explained that he builds his forecasts based on his own system that takes into account 13 main factors. These include the participation of candidates from other parties in the presidential race, the short-term state of the economy, the existence of social tensions, the charisma of the current US president and the candidate of the rival party, the foreign policy failures of the current administration, etc.
“It works very simply. If someone is leading by six points, that party can be declared the winner in advance. Otherwise, it will lose,” he said.
The current US President Joe Biden is a Democrat. According to Lichtman, the Republican candidate Donald Trump has only five key indicators.
“That’s why I predict that Kamala Harris will be the first woman to serve as president of the United States,” he concluded.
Since 1984, Lichtman has been wrong only once, in 2000, when he predicted that Democrat Al Gore would beat Republican George W. Bush.
