At the age of 26, Frauke stood for the first time for a private broadcaster in front of the camera – but not in today’s homeland, but for a regional magazine that was shot in Essen.
At that time, she wouldn’t expect to be very big in RTL, as the moderator now reveals in the video on Instagram.
“You just think about how to go through the first broadcast,” he reports for his first experience in front of the camera and adds, “If you asked me at that time if I would be there in one year, I wouldn’t have any answer.”

After all, her first day in RTL was “really terrible”, Frauke recalls. “Because I had no TV experience at all, I came from the radio. And it was that everyone interfered with what you put on and how you are soaked …”
Frauke learned to relax in front of the camera only through the now late TV icon Hans Meiser († 77).

In another post on Frauke’s social media, he also reveals how exhausting the first years in television business was for her.
“I only felt to work, contributing and sent text messages during the day, wrote moderation, then in the mask and leaving for the studio,” he reports, adding, “I can tell you it was such an exciting time!”
In the end, however, the moderator explains that all efforts and work were worth it. “I can say in a backward look that it’s the most beautiful thing when work really becomes a passion.”
