The first stage of reconstruction of the Boztepe canal is completed

The State Water Resources Agency of Azerbaijan has completed the first stage of reconstruction of the Boztepe irrigation canal, the restoration of which began in 2022.

Oku.Az reports that the agency has published information in this regard.

It was reported that as a result of the reconstruction of the 42.4 km long canal, which originates from the Araz River, the supply of irrigation water to a total of 9,775 ha of land, including 8,884 ha in Imishli district and 891 ha in Beylagan district has improved.

The canal construction works have been completed and the SCADA systems integration work is being carried out.

The Boztepe irrigation canal has a capacity of 8.6 cubic meters/s and a length of 42.4 km. In total, there are 186 hydrotechnical installations in the irrigation canal, including water fall, sub-irrigation, sprinklers, pipe crossing and leveling.
