“At the first stage, neither the patient himself nor his relatives, as a rule, do not notice the problem. A person at this stage is socially active, goes to work or study, does not feel headaches in the morning. But gradually, a person loses his sense of proportion and drinks more alcohol. “This indicates the beginning of the first stage of alcohol addiction,” the doctor said.
The psychiatrist also drew attention to symptoms such as the gradual increase in the dose of alcohol, the person’s life waiting for a new reason to drink, as well as the appearance of anxiety and aggression when alcohol is not consumed.
“After the first glass, the attractiveness of alcohol increases significantly: the person wants more and more. Small memory disturbances are also observed,” the doctor warned.
At the same time, as Isayev noted, alcohol addicts are sure that they can stop drinking at any time. They may drink for a while, but they resume their bad habits as soon as they find a convenient excuse.
