The initiative aimed to promote physical activity among the young peopleoffering the opportunity to discover a wide range of disciplines.
Jean d’André, 3rd year undergraduate student in Biologyunderlined the relevance of this initiative: “It’s a chance to try different sports over several days. For many of us, it was also a great way to meet other students who share the same hobbies. I’m sure that after this experience, they will organize more activities themselves during the course, and even teams could be formed.
For his part, Pablo Martin Aguado, Sports department coordinatorit was shown satisfied with the reception of the event: “After many years of celebrating Sports daywe wanted to go beyond the limits of a specific event and, through a week, reinforce the importance of playing sport at university level.” The massive response from students seems to confirm the success of this first edition and opens the door to new new editions and sporting activities in the future.
