What happened this Sunday during the visit of kings and other authorities to Paiporta is the symptom of a flood that has been brewing for a long time and to which the Valencia disaster served as a tap. What happened in Valencia may not defeat a specific government, due to its poor foresight and careless and clumsy handling of the threat. Instead, we could face a state crisis of enormous scale and unpredictable developments.
What happened with Paiporta is not (or is not only) an operation aimed at poisoning the far right, an attempt to putschcall for insurrection, is the expression of something deeper. Obviously, some parties will want to take advantage of this, but they may find that the consequences of all this end up dragging them down as well. Because what was revealed this Sunday was a deluge, deaf, in the background. It is not a question of the continuity of Mazón or that of Sánchez. Whoever plays on this wavelength is wrong. This is a deluge that calls into question fundamental elements of how we have until now understood the political organization of our society.
