The Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia Jeyhun Bayramov and Ararat Mirzoyan concluded the negotiations that took place on October 18 in Istanbul within the framework of the “3+3” platform. The ministers agreed to intensify efforts to sign a peace treaty.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, during the meeting the diplomats continued to discuss the draft Agreement on Peace and Interstate Relations. The ministers expressed the readiness of Azerbaijan and Armenia to complete work in this direction as soon as possible.
Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergei Lavrovwho also flew to Istanbul to participate in the work of the “3+3” platform, previously said that Moscow, Tehran and Ankara offered Baku and Yerevan to sign a peace treaty on the platform of this format.
A meeting of the heads of the Foreign Ministries of Türkiye and Armenia was also held today in Istanbul.
“The interlocutors discussed issues of the bilateral agenda and a long-term dialogue aimed at a full settlement of relations between Armenia and Türkiye.” – stated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.
