Alongside these challenges, according to him, the real future of the health system is innovation: “The incorporation of innovation into our health system will, without a doubt, be what makes possible a more coherent health system, better quality and more efficient. ” ; He continued: “a more modern health system that adapts to the needs of each patient. What we now call personalized and precision medicine.
For which he wanted to emphasize the role of our doctors “to whom we must pay particular attention because they are the cornerstone of the health system” and the need to: “a new incentive model for well-paid and socially recognized professionals.”
Finally, he expressed his support for professional associations. “Thanks to them, professionalism, ethics and professional conduct are guaranteed. »
For his part, Tomás Cobo recalled the three laws that were approved during the mandate of Ana Pastor as minister, the Law of Cohesion and Quality, the Law of Patient Autonomy and the Law of Regulation of Health Professions, regulations which, in his opinion, “They gave meaning to the 1986 health model, but today they need to be modernized.
