The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has described the situation in the Kurakhovsky direction of the front as critical. The General Staff published operational information about the hostilities on the Telegram channel.
“It’s warmer today in the Kurakhovsky direction,” – says the message.
The General Staff later described the situation there as difficult. The Russian military has carried out a series of attacks in this direction and five clashes are underway, the headquarters said.
Kurakhovo is a town in the Pokrovsky district in the Kyiv-controlled part of the DPR. About 19 thousand people live there.
At the end of August Vladimir Zelensky He said that a difficult situation has developed for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kramatorsk, Toretsk and Kupyansk directions.
According to him, the largest number of clashes are taking place in the Pokrovsk direction. The city previously announced a forced evacuation of families with children. Almost 200 clashes are taking place daily along the entire front line, Zelensky added.
