Another senior general in the Ministry of Defense has been dismissed.
According to information obtained by “Unikal”, the head of the Personnel Department of the Ministry of Defense, Major General Elchin Khalilov, was released from office and taken into custody.
According to information obtained by “Qafqazinfo”, there is already an appointment to replace the general. By another order, Colonel Azer Heybatli was appointed head of said department.
Azer Heybatli was Azerbaijan’s military attaché to Britain.
It should be noted that Fuad Khalilov, brother of General Elchin Khalilov, also worked as head of the financial service of the Higher Military School. Some time ago, Fuad Khalilov testified as a witness in court about the embezzlement of $143 million from the Ministry of Defense.
