The Generalitat has so far resolved 92% of the ERTEs presented by companies affected by DANA.
In total, 1,436 ERTEs were presented due to force majeure (three from Alicante, two from Castellón, 35 from work centers in more than one province and 1,396 from Valencia) and 15 companies submitted extinction files, of which 1,326 were resolved.
The regional employment secretary, Antonio Galvanunderlines the “agility” of the Consell when it comes to administratively resolving cases that will protect 18,000 workers.
“All Consell machines have been made available to companies and workers to offer them a shield that protects them in this situation,” he said in a statement.
Force majeure cases, according to current legislation, have no deadline for filing, and take effect from the event which caused them. In this case, since October 29.
People affected by an ERTE are entitled to contributory compensation for suspension of contract or reduction of working time due to DANA. This benefit will also not require previous contribution periods (it is not necessary to have worked and contributed for at least 360 days).
Furthermore, in order to speed up the procedures as much as possible, the people concerned do not have to take any steps: it is the company itself which makes the request and they are not required to register as job seeker.
The regional employment service, Labora, has launched buses and mobile offices to serve businesses and people in all the steps they need to take regarding employment and work.
Mobile office
From this Monday 18 it will start working the first of the temporary mobile offices which will be installed in places where, because of DANA, their Espai Labora is closed for an indefinite period.
Catarroja will be the place where this first adaptable mobile unit will begin its activity, which will function as an Espai Labora office.
Labora staff from this location will be able to assist all users in all the procedures they need to carry out, both regarding the ordinary services of the service and those derived from DANA.
This mobile team will be located on Calle Joan Giner, in front of Espai Labora de Catarroja. In other affected municipalities, three vehicles will be installed to serve people residing in areas seriously affected by this disaster.
Alongside this service, Labora DANA buses will continue their journey through the affected areas.
These two buses which passed this week by Buñol, Albal, Paiporta and Montserrat, They serve from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., without interruption, and provide help and assistance to people and businesses in the localities to resolve doubts about the procedures they need in relation to the job application or ERTE application.
