The ruling Georgian Dream party has the support of 59.5% of the country’s residents. These are the results of a survey carried out by the company GORBI and published by the official channel Imedi TV three weeks before the parliamentary elections.
Of the opposition, only two parties exceed the 5% barrier in this survey: “Unity” (“National Movement”, “Agmashenebeli Strategy”, “European Georgia”) – 13.6% and “Coalition for Change – Gvaramia, Melia, Girchi, Droa “- 10.3%.
- The rest of the parties, according to this survey, receive:
- “Strong Georgia” (“Lelo”, “For the People”, “Freedom Square”, “Citizens”): 4.5%;
- “Gakharia – For Georgia” – 3.8%;
- “Girchi” (Iago Khvichia) – 2.7%;
- “Alliance of Patriots” / “Alt-info” – 2.5%;
- Other parties: 3.1%.
The survey was conducted through in-person interviews in Georgia, September 18-30. 1,700 people were surveyed. The error is +/-3%.
On October 4, it was carried out by Edison Research at the request of the opposition television channel Formula. This study yielded different results:
- “Georgian Dream”: 33%;
- “Unity” (“National Movement”, “Agmashenebeli Strategy”, “European Georgia”): 19%;
- “Coalition for Change – Gvaramia, Melia, Girchi, Droa” – 13%;
- “Strong Georgia” (“Lelo”, “For the People”, “Freedom Square”, “Citizens”): 12%;
- “Gakharia – For Georgia” – 11%.
- Close to overcoming the 5% barrier are Girchi (Iago Khvichia) – 4% and the Labor Party – 4%.
- The pro-Russian association “Alliance of Patriots” / “Alt-Info” has 3%.
- Other parties: 1%.
63% believe that the country is going in the wrong direction and 37% in the right direction.
The survey was carried out by direct interview from September 17 to 29. Nationally, 1,200 citizens over the age of 18 who have the right to vote and reside in Georgia were surveyed. The error is +/- 2.8%.
