Hungary will join the Friends of Peace group, created at the initiative of China and Brazil to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. This was stated on the M1 television channel by Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó.
“Fifteen countries, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Mexico, Kenya, Zambia and Kazakhstan, will meet under the leadership of China and Brazil to prepare for the formation of the Friends of Peace group.” – stated Szijjarto, quoted by RIA Novosti.
According to the Hungarian Minister, in addition to Hungary, two other European countries are also invited to the event: France and Switzerland.
Szijjártó also noted that the states of the Global South “are disappointed at having to pay for the conflict in Ukraine, which is far away, and they want peace.”
