The Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Angel Victor Torresannounced that SMEs and self-employed workers affected by the DANA They will be able to request the corresponding aid tomorrow, “which will be paid in December, that is to say as quickly as possible”, he stressed.
Torres made the announcement moments before attending the meeting of the Cécopi in L’Eliana, questioned by the media about the situation of municipalities after DANA and political disagreements with the Valencian government.
The minister, in statements collected by Europe Presssaid that the Central Executive is working to respond to the demand of the Valencians, “which is to help carry out reconstruction and free the streets from mud and property.”
In this sense, he recalled that there are already 22 offices opened by the central government in the municipalities affected by DANA to collect requests and report on aid, “and Tomorrow there will be 62 offices, or 40 morewith specific personnel,” he said.
In addition, he announced that tomorrow, Tuesday, the period for submitting applications for SMEs and self-employed workers will open so that they can request aid “with the commitment of the Spanish Government to be able to respond as soon as possible time limit”.
“Tomorrow”, he repeated, “these requests can be presented and the tax administration will proceed with the payment of the aid in the coming weeks, in the month of December, that is to say with the most very quickly, with a bank account and making the corresponding payments.
The minister stressed that the Executive thus responds to citizens’ demands. “I think that’s what we all need to focus on right now, this institutional work,” he added.
So, he said, there are other forums “for political, partisan and relevant debates, but for now we must focus on aid, reconstruction, eliminating the mad and the “elimination of vehicles that may remain in the fields”.
“Act with maximum health and safety for citizens by opening offices, hiring staff and also providing assistance to SMEs and the self-employed,” he summarized.
