The situation experienced with DANA in Valencia which left an image of numerous deaths at the wheel of their vehicles has led the government to reconsider the training of motorists in emergency situations.
For this reason, Pedro Sánchez announced today that it will soon be mandatory to undergo training on this type of risky driving to obtain a driving license.
Contacted at EL ESPAÑOL with the General Directorate of Traffic, indeed from this organization, they indicated that this measure was proposed in recent days by the Government and that the DGT is completely in agreement to carry it out.
So the next step is now determine the curriculum and training that upcoming students should know about emergency situations so they can learn and approve it on future calls.
Furthermore, the DGT confirms that this will only be theoretical training and therefore not practical. So, soon, among the questions included in the theoretical traffic test, some will probably seek to know the candidate’s knowledge of driving in an emergency.
