The proposal of LDPR State Duma deputy Stanislav Naumov to make December 28 a day off will be considered. This was stated in the office of Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko.
If Naumov’s idea is supported, Russians will have a 12-day New Year’s holiday, RIA Novosti reports.
The deputy proposed adding one more day of rest before the New Year holidays to avoid a six-day work week: December 28 falls on a Saturday, but the day off was moved to the 30th.
If the proposal is not accepted, the New Year holidays will last 11 days.
