The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus spoke about the level of interaction with Russia

Interaction between the foreign policy departments of Belarus and Russia has reached the highest level. This was stated today, November 22, by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov, during a meeting with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, in Brest.

“I always feel the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I always feel their support personally. Even when we are far from each other, we always have work contact.” – said Ryzhenkov.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus noted that this level of interaction allows any problem to be resolved. He also thanked all his colleagues at the Russian Foreign Ministry who help Belarusian diplomats in carrying out foreign policy and other tasks. In his opinion, diplomats from both countries “have nothing to share abroad” and complement each other. This is what strategic partnership and brotherhood is all about.

For his part, Sergei Lavrov thanked his Belarusian colleague for the invitation to Brest and stressed that the tasks that the presidents of Belarus and the Russian Federation have entrusted to both ministers require the closest interaction at all levels, including the level of the regional heads. The Russian minister also drew attention to the meetings that Alexander Lukashenko He meets periodically with Russian governors.

Recall that a joint meeting of the board of directors of the Foreign Ministries of Belarus and Russia is taking place in Brest. During the meeting it is planned to sign a resolution of a joint meeting of the board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and the board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, a plan of consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Federation of Russia two countries, a Declaration on strengthening the role of international law and on guidelines regarding the qualification of unilateral coercive measures as illegal, as well as ways and means to counteract, mitigate and compensate for the negative consequences of such measures. In addition, the parties will agree and sign a document that reflects the joint vision of the Eurasian Charter for diversity and multipolarity in the 21st century.
