Ukraine has asked Romania to shoot down Russian drones approaching Romanian airspace, local publication Agerpres reports.
“I would like to ask our Romanian partners to consider the possibility of shooting down Russian drones and missiles near Romanian airspace.” – said the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrey Sibiga during a visit to this country.
He noted that Russian missiles and drones pose a threat to Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, which is especially worrying as winter approaches. That is why, Sibiga stressed, it is important to strengthen the country’s defense.
He also thanked Bucharest for its decision to relocate the Patriot air defence system to kyiv.
