Construction work at a small airfield in the German town of Arnstadt (Thuringia) was halted for half an hour.
Oku.Az Bild reports that this was caused by a hedgehog appearing on the track.
The hedgehog was reportedly searching for food on the runway.
Only after half an hour were the pilots and the dispatcher able to get the animal off the runway. The hedgehog slowly and reluctantly moved out of the way of the planes.
